At Coastal Roots Realty, we love highlighting what makes Camden County special, and our community’s deep appreciation for those who’ve served is one of the many reasons this area feels like home. This Veterans Day, two local events invite you to come together in gratitude and celebration of our nation’s heroes.

Honoring Our Heroes:
Two Ways to Celebrate Veterans Day in Camden County

St. Marys Veterans Paddle

Sunday, November 9th | 8:30–10:00 AM | St. Marys Waterfront Park

Start your morning with a peaceful paddle that honors those who’ve served. Hosted by Latitude 29 Paddleboard, a veteran-owned local business, this event invites veterans and their guests to enjoy the calm morning waters and the beauty of our coastal community.

No paddleboarding experience is needed, the team provides a full tutorial, equipment, and plenty of encouragement. A $15 registration fee reserves your spot, and each participant receives a $60 gift card toward a future paddleboarding adventure.

Veterans who bring their own board can join for free.

Register: Donate $15 here

This “Dawn Patrol” paddle is a chance to unwind, connect, and share good vibes while watching the sunrise over the water — a uniquely coastal way to honor our veterans.

Kingsland Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony

Monday, November 11th | 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM | Downtown Kingsland

The annual Veterans Day Parade, sponsored by VFW Post #8385, is a beloved tradition in Camden County. Locals line the streets of downtown Kingsland to cheer on veterans, military families, and community groups in a moving tribute to those who’ve served our country.

The parade begins at 10:30 AM, followed by a ceremony at Kingsland Veterans Memorial Park at 11:00 AM, where you can pause to reflect and show appreciation for the courage and sacrifice of our heroes.

Both events capture the spirit of Camden County, proud, connected, and full of heart. Whether you’re paddling at sunrise or waving flags downtown, take a moment this Veterans Day to thank those who’ve served and celebrate the community we’re proud to call home.
